Lot 198: Russian physiologist (1849–1936) best known for his investigation of conditioned reflex through the use of experiments involving salivating dogs. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1904. Highly sought-after matte-finish 4.75 x 6.5 candid photo of Pavlov in a lab coat, signed in fountain pen, "I. Pavlov." Affixed to a same-size mount. In fine condition. An exceedingly scarce format. Previously sold by Christie's, 2007.
