Mills Writes A Largely Social Series Of Letters To His Friend And Colleague, In Part, 'Thank You So Much For Remembering Me On Thursday Night At The Garrick. The Critics Haven'T Been Too Kind To Us But We Are Waiting To See What The Public Think' (23Rd September 1963), 'What A Marvellous Birthday, I Will Never Forget It. Mary Collected All The People That I Really Love And Wanted To See' (25Th February 1965), 'Just To Let You Know How It All Goes. Together With A T.L.S. By Mary Hayley Bell Inviting The Attenborough'S To S Secret Birthday Party For Her Husband, 2Nd February 1965, And An A.L.S. And T.L.S. By Hayley Mills, Both Thanking Attenborough And His Wife For Telegrams On Her First Nights And Commenting 'It Was Enormously Encouraging Just As I Was Seriously Contemplating Escaping Through The Lavatory Window! (1970) And 'It Was Hell - S'Pose They Always Are, Worse Hell If It'S S'Posed To Be A Comedy!!' (1975). A Couple Of The Letters Are Accompanied By Typed Carbon Copies Of Attenborough'S Replies.
