[?]Chowfeury, thanking him for the trouble he has taken in respect of a missing telegram, 'I expected a telegram from James Young... on a subject of considerable importance to me, but as it would appear from your careful investigation that no telegram has come from England for me, the only other source I can imagine must have been from the Governor and as I have written to him to-day he will see that I have not received any', thanking the recipient for his help and telling him to search no further, 3 pp., printed biographical three-line note pasted beneath signature at foot of page 3, some marginal toning to margins of final blank, tipped on to a folio autograph album leaf with guard, the album leaf containing cut autograph signatures of Baron Alexander von Humboldt, J.
