Lot 128: Laurel Stan: (1890-1965) English Film Comedian. A.L.S., Stan Laurel, (Also Adding Laurel & Hardy In His Hand Beneath His Signature), One Page, 8Vo, Hull, 10Th December 1953, To Mrs. A. G. Tyler, On The Printed Stationery Of The Royal Station Hotel. Laurel States That They Are Sorry To Hear The Further News Of Their Correspondent'S Husband'S Condition, And Of Her Own Unfortunate Accident, Remarking 'We Trust Your Back Injury Is Not Too Serious & You Will Soon Fully Recover From The Pain'. He Continues To Write 'Thank You For The Kind Invitation To Your Daughter'S Wedding - Being In Nottingham, We Shall Of Course Not Be Able To Attend. However Please Convey To Them Our Heartiest Congratulations & Wishes For A Most Happy & Successful Union'. Accompanied By The Original Envelope Hand Addressed By Laurel And Bearing A Colour Vignette Of Laurel And Hardy Affixed To The Verso (Large Tear Across The Vignette As A Result Of The Envelope Being Opened). Some Very Light Damp Staining To The Right Edge Of The Letter, Only Very Slightly Affecting The Text, Which Remains Perfectly Legible.
