A Jimi Hendrix autograph is a signature by the iconic 1960s rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix.

Background information

Jimi Hendrix is one of the most critically acclaimed, innovative and influential rock musicians of all time. His flamboyant style and explosive playing style made him an iconic figure in 1960s culture, and his songs were adopted as counter culture anthems.

Hendrix first found fame in the UK with his band The Jimi Hendrix Experience along with Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell. However, he found fame in the US after an appearance at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 and went on to give a generation-defining performance of the Star Spangled Banner at the Woodstock festival in 1969.

Hendrix died in 1970 at the age of just 27. However, despite his relatively short life he changed the music scene and has inspired countless generations of musicians to pick up a guitar ever since.

Item description

The autograph is written on a small piece of lines paper taken from a notebook.

Hendrix has signed the slip of paper clearly in crisp blue ink.
