An band from London, England rock band formed in 1968. The group were guitarist Jimmy Page, lead singer Robert Plant. Bassist and keyboard player John Paul Jones, and drummer the late John Bonham. After changing the name from the New Yardbirds. Equally Led Zeppelin signed a contract deal with Atlantic Records that gave the band considerable artistic freedom. Although the group was initially unpopular with critics. They achieved massive commercial success with their albums such as Led Zeppelin (69); Led Zeppelin II (69), Led Zeppelin III (70). Led Zeppelin IV (71); Houses of the Holy (73); and Physical Graffiti (75). Their fourth album, which features the track “Stairway to Heaven”. This song is one the most popular and influential works in rock music, and it helped to secure the group’s fame.

Various reports estimate the record sales between 200 to 300 million worldwide. Additionally each of Led Zeppelin’s nine studio albums were placed in the top 10 of the Billboard album chart and six reached the number-one spot. Of course they got eight UK number one albums.

RIAA certified sales of 111.5 million, they are the second-best-selling band in the US. As well as this the band was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 1995. Rolling Stone has described them as “the heaviest band of all time”.
