A Tete de Femme print by Picasso is to star in an auction at Bonhams on November 24.

It’s expected to sell for around £20,000-30,000 ($30,404-45,607).

Rupert Worrall, Bonhams’ head of prints, comments: “The image has a hypnotic, haunting quality and in its consciously restricted palette recalls the artist’s work from the Second World War which he spent under occupation in Paris.

“Although the woman of the title is not identified, the work does bear a strong resemblance to Picasso’s portraits of Françoise Gilot from the late 1940s.”
