Is Banksy's Dismaland going to house refugees?
Banksy's 'Dismaland' park is apparently being dismantled and relocated to Calais, France-to will provide shelter for thousands of migrants and refugees who are still waiting to gain entrance to England.
The park, which closed its doors last weekend, gave the economy of Weston Super Mare a $43 million boost and attracted some 150,000 visitors during its six week run.
A post appeared on the official Dismaland website on Monday morning entitled ''Coming Soon..Dismaland Calais'', announcing that ''All the timber and fixtures from Dismaland are being sent to the 'Jungle' refugee camp near Calais to build shelters. No online tickets will be available."
However, an official from the Calais mayoral office has said that he has heard nothing from Banksy, or Dismaland organizers about the relocation, and was quoted as saying "One cannot just do what one wants."
