El Lissitzky: The Artist and the State to open at IMMA in Dublin
El Lissitzky: The Artist and the State, an exhibition dedicated to Russian avant gardist El Lissitzky, is to open at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA).
It will run until October 18.
Lissitzky is an important figure in post-revolutionary Russian art. He was a pupil of Kazihr Malevich and his work explores similar ground.
The works in the show are on loan from the Van Abbemuseum Eindhoven.
