Charity Shop Ben Nicholson Art at Bonhams
They were talking about this Ben Nicholson piece on the local news this morning, the owner found it for sale in a charity shop where it was being sold for 99p, today it's expected to make £2,000-3,000 in a Bonhams auction. The artist Ben Nicholson created the artwork from a single piece of fabric, an impressive feat for 1938.
Called George and Rufus, proceeds from the auction will be donated to charity, with some of the money going to the charity shop in which this was found.
