British Museum uploads treasures to the internet
The British Museum has partnered with Google to upload some of its greatest treasures to the internet.
Arranged in partnership with the Google Cultural Institute, high –definition photographs of items like the Rosetta Stone are now available to view online.
Neil MacGregor, the museum’s director, comments: "The world today has changed, the way we access information has been revolutionised by digital technology.
"It is now possible to make our collection accessible, explorable and enjoyable not just for those who physically visit, but to everybody with a computer or a mobile device.”
