  • 1 Rare Original Antique Victorian Great Western Railway Company Coat Arms Crest Cast Iron Wall Plaque. 
  • Made from cast iron heavy quality.  
  • Highly sort after.  
  • The Great Western Railway Company was a British railway company that linked London with the south-west and west of England,  the West Midlands, and most of Wales. 
  • It was founded in 1833, received its enabling Act of Parliament on 31 August 1835 and ran its first trains in 1838. 
  • It was engineered by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who chose a broad gauge of 7 ft.  
  • In the centre of the plaque you can see the coat of arms of the Great Western Railway,  which incorporates the shields, crests of the cities of London left and Bristol right.  
  • Weighs nearly 4kg unwrapped weight & thickness is 1cm approx. 
  • Circa late 19th century Victorian era. 
  • Condition report. 
  • Offered in fine charming old used worn rusted condition.   
  • Having various noticeable rust, wear, cracking, paint stains, small round hole on the back commensurate with usage & old age.
