ISIS troops destroy Syrian archaeological sites
In addition to the relentless bloodshed taking place in Syria, thousands of archaeological sites are being systematically destroyed by ISIS troops.
Cheikhmous Ali , who heads the Association for Protection of Syrian Archeology, comments: "There are more than 900 monuments and archeological sites that have been affected, destroyed or wiped out, and that is something of concern not just for Syria, because this is international heritage.
“Syria is being destroyed in every field, whether infrastructure, humanitarian affairs, relations between communities or heritage.
“It is a systematic destruction that has gone on for four years."
