1958 Microchip prototype worth $2 million?
This microchip prototype represents an interesting newish avenue for collectors to explore. Older computers have been becoming more collectable in recent years, but so far there hasn't been a 'holy grail' moment where one item has made headlines for its value. This microchip designed in 1958 by Nobel Prize winner Jack Kilby might be just that if the Christie's $1-2 million pre-auction estimate is anything to go by.
