Vintage Royal Crown Cola Signs
Vintage Royal Crown Cola Signs are original advertising signs produced by the Royal Crown company to promote their brand of cola.
Brief history and description
Royal Crown cola signs are typically tin, cardboard, wood or glass mounted on wood signs which have become as highly sought after as vintage Orange Crush, M&S Beverages, Mountain Dew, Dad's Root Beer or Hires soda signs.
Many RC Cola signs usually read something along the lines of "RC tastes better!" or "RC tastes best!," and sometimes their signs feature notable film actors and/or celebrities such as Rita Hayworth, Fred Allen, or even Santa Claus.
Guide for collectors
Two-sided RC Cola tin sidewalk signs (16" x 24") are considered to be the most rare and valuable among collectors. RC Cola advertising signs featuring Rita Hayworth holding a cola bottle are also considered to be rare and valuable.
Restoration of a vintage RC Cola sign is recommended, but only if there is noticeable damage. However, restoring an RC Cola sign may decrease its value.
