Vintage Koehler’s beer cans are collectible items of breweriana advertising.

According to the 1930 Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act’s definition, “vintage” refers to pieces manufactured within the last 100 years and can include items made as recently as the 1980s.

Koehler’s

Koehler’s was a brand of beer produced by The Erie Brewing Company.

The company was established in Erie, Pennsylvania, US in 1883 when Jackson Koehler took over the Eagle Brewery, changing its name to The Erie Brewing Company in 1899.

The company closed its doors in 1978.

Vintage Koehler’s beer cans were produced from the early 20th century until the company’s demise in the 1970s.

The 1930’s blue gold and red variants, featuring the slogan: “There is no better beer”, are the most collectible.
