Vintage Hamm’s beer playing cards are collectible items of breweriana advertising.

According to the 1930 Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act’s definition, “vintage” refers to pieces manufactured within the last 100 years and can include items made as recently as the 1980s.


Established in 1865 in Minnesota, US, the brewery quickly became one of the largest in the state.

It is currently owned by MillerCoors.

The firm is perhaps best known for its Hamm’s beer bear mascot.

They were produced in a range of different guises.

Among the most collectible items are those featuring Hamm’s beer bear mascot. The majority of those produced featured photographs of lake scenes, often accompanied by the slogan: “From the land of sky blue waters”.

Among the most visually striking variants are those featuring a photo of a man and a grizzly bear.
