Vintage Grizzly Beer statues are collectible items of breweriana advertising.

According to the 1930 Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act’s definition, “vintage” refers to pieces manufactured within the last 100 years and can include items made as recently as the 1980s.

Grizzly Beer

Grizzly Beer was produced up until the late 1980s by the Hamilton Breweries company of Ontario, Canada. Production ceased when Hamilton Breweries closed down.

Vintage Grizzly Beer statues

Vintage Grizzly Beer statues were produced in 1984.

The 16 inch high statues featured a depiction of a grizzly bear stood on top of a tree stump, complete with a bottle of Grizzly beer.

Upon the stump is written: “Grizzly Beer”, with the tag “Authentic Canadian Lager”.

How much are vintage Grizzly Beer statues worth?

Statues that include the original unopened bottle are rare, and can change hands for between $35 and $80 at internet auction sites.
