1970s Budweiser Bud Man stuffed doll
The 1970s Budweiser Bud Man stuffed doll is a vintage toy based on the Budweiser corporate mascot Bud Man.
Bud Man is a superhero character, described as a “Dauntless Defender of Quality”, created by Anheuser-Busch in 1969 as a mascot for their popular Budweiser beer. The character has since appeared in a large number of adverts, been reproduced as various items such as dolls and beer steins, and acted as the inspiration for the Simpsons character Duff Man (mascot for Duff Beer).
Vintage items bearing the character’s likeness are popular items of breweriana, and there are a number of Budweiser collecting clubs and societies that specialise in advertising memorabilia from the brand’s history.

The doll measures approximately 15” tall and has a stuffed cloth body with printed detail. The character appears it his famous costume of a red jumpsuit with blue gloves and boots, a red cowl and mask, and a blue cape.
How much is a 1970s Budweiser Bud Man doll worth?
Bud man is a popular product mascot, and the large number of Budweiser and general breweriana collectors means there will always be a market for beer advertising dolls such as these. And as the doll was made with a cloth body, they were not as hard wearing meaning good condition examples can be fairly rare.
As such, dolls in good condition complete with their original capes can sell on auction sites such as eBay for around $40 - $70.
