William Perry GI Joes
William Perry GI Joes are collectible action figures made by Hasbro in 1987. They are one of a number of speciality G.I. Joe action figures produced in the A Real American Hero range.
William Perry, also known by his nickname, The Refrigerator, was an American Football star in the 1980s and 1990s, mainly for the Chicago Bears.
Known for his huge size, he helped the Bears to a Superbowl victory over the New England Patriots in 1986, during his rookie season.
Perry quickly became a favourite of the fans, who were eager to purchase merchandise related to the star.

The 9.5cm toy was brought out in 1987 at the height of Perry’s popularity. It was only available only through mail-order.
Featuring Perry in a sleeveless jersey emblazoned with his signature #72, it came equipped with a football attached to a chain.
